The battlefields of the year 2085 are deadlier than ever, hellish wastelands where the armies of the Paneuropean Federation and the North American Combine wage war with tactical nuclear weapons. But the deadliest force of all are the Ogres- enormous unmanned tanks, guided by artificial intelligences and carrying enough firepower to single-handedly turn the tide of battle.
Ogre is a tabletop game of military strategy that pits two players against each other on the radioactive battlefields of the Last War, battling with tanks, hovercraft, infantry, artillery, and of course awesome the fearsome Ogres themselves. Originally published in 1977, it was the first game by legendary game designer Steve Jackson, and has long enjoyed cult classic status. It now makes its return in the Ogre Designer's Edition, a new version of the game that, like the eponymous nuclear-armed AI war machine, is so colossal that its sheer mass looms monstrously over its rivals.
The Ogre Designer's Edition includes:
All the rules from the original Ogre, its supplements, and its spinoff G.E.V., all revised for in a new 6th Edition and edition and reorganized into a single rule book and a scenario book.
